SOL has members who will be sailing this event IRL. http://racetomac.com/ Also known here as Chicago-Mackinac 2010 Sailing Instructions 2010 Race to Mackinac Official Sailing Instructions 13. Course And Marks 13.1 Start at Chicago to Finish at Mackinac Island. 13.2 Boats shall pass between Grays Reef Light (2009 LL No. 17775) 45-45-56.970 N / 085-09-12.530 W and Grays Reef Passage Channel Lighted Buoy 7 (2009 LL No. 17780) 45-45-45.627 N / 085-08-26.747 W except those passing West of Beaver Island. 13.3 Boats shall leave to starboard. New Shoal Lighted Bell Buoy 3 (2009 LL No. 17745) 45-48-53.619 N / 085-08-00.517 W 13.4 Boats shall pass under one of the three center spans of the Mackinac Bridge. Competitors are warned that the height above the water of the three spans is not equal and that there are caissons underwater that extend approximately 60 feet on all sides of the bridge supports. This information is available in the most recent US Coast Pilot. Boats shall consult the appropriate navigational documents and base their navigation solely on those documents. 13.5 Boats shall leave to port. South Graham Shoal Buoy (2009 LL No. 12635) 45-49-31.545 N / 084-42-20.276 W 15. Finish Line The Finish Line shall be between the western edge of the abandoned Round Island Lighthouse located on the westerly tip of Round Island and an orange flag on the Race Committee finish pole on Mackinac Island. whoops yep I forgot to switch gears.
I spoke to zowee in chat during the Vic-Maui Race & he said he intended to sail this race and has done so before so that's one & there may be others None so blind |

If zowee is on the same boat as the last two years he will be on "Drumbeat" a NA40. I think Amateur Knight (AK) will also be on that boat.

Hi SOLers! Jack is correct, I'll be on Drumbeat in Section 7. There is also a Drumbeat in Section 1, which is a new Soto 40. AK is not sailing with us this year, so I am the only SOLer on our boat at least. I will send pictures from Drumbeat to RC and I will also post some live pics on my FB page. You guys on SC-52's will pass us for sure, but please do follow us on Drumbeat and send fast vibes our way! Have a great virtual race!

Jack, Windquest got line honors last year, so your friend has a fast ride! Although they will have to beat Beau Geste, the Farr 80 this year.
WE HAVE ANOTHER SOLER IN THE RACE!!! SOLer Scarlett will be on Cruising class boat "Hope"!!! They leave Friday, a day before the "spinnaker" fleet |

Marstrand to Cowes 2025
We invite you to another race, which will kick off the third quarter of our ARCH series. We'll set off from Marstrand, Sweden, which, along with Skagen, Denmark, marks the line commonly recognised as the border separating the Baltic Sea from the North Sea. The 650nm route will take our Ripitide 50 across the North Sea and the English Channel to Cowes, England. Watch out for the fast ferries crossing the Channel from Calais to Dover 😊.

Nantucket Sprint 2025
Welcome to Nantucket, from whence Herman Melville’s Cap’n Ahab sailed round The Horn into the northern Pacific Ocean to hunt the gray whale - whose migrations are celebrated elsewhere in SOL’s Q4 schedule - he never to return. And whaling too, as the 19th C progressed, like Ahab disappeared from Nantucket as the harbour silted up and mainland Massachusetts whaling stations benefited from rail connections. But beach life, yachting and nostalgia has rescued the island from oblivion, so to celebrate leisure, SOL gives you the Nantucket Sprint - 25nm in 29er_XX’s from east of Tuckernuck Island across the sound to a finish just inside the mouth of the harbour. Aland Sea TIMED Race
Norrtalje Segelsallskap, 70km NE of Stockholm was founded in 1920, and time was when the society’s season opened with a challenging offshore race from the club line off Flaten island at the mouth of the long and narrow Norrtaljeviken, out onto a triangular course around the Aland Sea, to finish at Simpnas slightly to the north on Bjorko island - some 78nm in total. A fine race that SOL, being from these parts, ran annually up until 2013. Last run in autumn 2018, we return here to race the course again in the form a TIMED RUN in spanking new Club Swan 50s.
